Construction work on the new two storeyed headquarter building of the SLCB was ceremoniously commenced after the laying down of the foundation stone at the auspicious time of 10.41 a.m. on Friday, 11th of October 2012, at No. 50 B, Sarana Mawatha, Rajagiriya. This building is being constructed under the direct supervision of Maga Engineering (pvt) Limited  and  is expected to be made available for operation in August 2013.
